Rub-a-Dub-Dub, Glass for the Tub
So you sell bathtub enclosures, and maybe you think that the standard enclosure you offer is comparable in price and appearance to those enclosures offered by your competitors. Do you know what other companies in your area are offering, and what they are charging for framed bathtub enclosures?
USGlass randomly called glass shops in Atlanta, Dallas and Salem, Ore., to research the price of a framed bathtub enclosure measuring 56 inches wide by 59 inches tall, with gold anodized aluminum and tempered, obscure glass.
The prices varied among the regions with Atlanta offering the widest range of prices, from $325 all the way up to $699. Salem, Ore., gave the overall lowest prices, while Atlanta came out with the highest prices.
Price is not the only variance between the companies that were contacted; so, too, is the actual enclosure. Different brands of bathtub enclosures, ranging from Holekomb, Cardinal and Alumax, were named as the companiesí standard product line.
