| Distribution & Production Report Shows Flat Glass Revenue Increased in 2006 The latest report from Research and Markets in Dublin, Ireland, “Flat Glass Manufacturing Industry in the U.S. and its Foreign Trade (1996-2008),” indicates that the industry’s revenue for the year 2006 was approximately $3.7 million. The gross profit was 35.68 percent at $1.32 million. According to the report, the 79 establishments in the industry in 2006 each contributed, on average, $46.87 million in annual revenue. The report also notes that the total import-export value for the year 2006 was $2.09 million. There were 123 countries that conducted foreign trade with the United States in 2006, exactly the same as year 2005. The top trading countries included Canada, Taiwan, Mexico, China and Japan, which represent a combined total of approximately 71 percent of all imports and exports.
