Jim Brandjord Passes Away
Jim Brandjord of James Brandjord Associates Inc. in Cherry Hill, N.J., passed away on October 6 of complications from surgery. He was 73.

Brandjord leaves behind his wife, Doris; his five sons, Michael, Brian, Jamie, Jeff and Eric Richwall; five grandchildren, Brian, Jason, Mark, Adam and Daniel; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

Glaston Makes New Appointments in Americas
Glaston Corp. in Tampere, Finland, has made several new appointments in the Americas.

Jack Van Meerbeeck has been appointed vice president of sales and service in North America, while Raimo Nieminen is the new vice president of sales and service in South America. In their new roles Van Meerbeeck and Nieminen are responsible for the sales and service of Tamglass and Bavelloni products in their respective regions.

Dan Thompson has been hired as the sales manager for Bavelloni machinery in North America. He brings extensive experience in sales, marketing and product development to the company.

Scott Bell has been appointed vice president of finance and administration for Glaston North and South Americas. In his new role Bell will have overall responsibility of administrative processes for the sales and services, including control, treasury, information and communication technology, legal and human resources.

In addition, Agneta Selroos is the new manager of corporate communications and investor relations for Glaston in Finland. She joins Glaston from Hartwall, where she served as corporate communications manager.

Edgetech Has New Sales Manager in the Western U.S.
Edgetech I.G. Inc. in Cambridge, Ohio, has appointed Ted Hoehn as national sales manager in the Western United States, Central and South America and Mexico. In his new role, Hoehn is responsible for maintaining and improving customer relationships in his territory.

Prior to joining Edgetech, Hoehn spent 20 years with HB Fuller as regional sales manager (window division), national sales manager (powder coating division) and regional sales manager (powder coating division). He holds a bachelor’s degree in administrative management and a minor in chemistry from the University of Cincinnati.

McNair Joins Truth Team
Truth Hardware in Owatonna, Minn., has announced the addition of Scott McNair as sales director for the Canadian provinces. McNair comes to the company with more than 15 years of experience in the door and window industry. He will oversee the efforts of Truth’s sales team across Canada and will manage the Ontario market directly.

The Wagner Companies Makes Hires and Promotions
The Wagner Companies in Milwaukee announced that Jeni Kultgen has joined the company as a staff accountant. Kultgen holds an associate degree in accounting from Lakeshore Technical College and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Lakeland College.

Chad Salmela also joined the company as an estimator/customer service representative for systems. He will be responsible for estimating Wagnerail™ projects and serving the needs of Lumenrail^® LED lighted railing systems customers. Salmela brings 12 years of manufacturing knowledge to the company. He most recently worked for Eagle Mills Manufacturing as a designer and a sales and technical service representative.

Christine Heiden has been promoted to estimator/customer service representative for systems. In this position, Heiden will be responsible for estimating Wagnerail™ projects and serving the needs of railing systems customers. Most recently, Heiden served as the company’s customer service/inside sales representative for the cable rail product line.

Wetmore is the New COO of Aluminum Shapes
Aluminum Shapes LLC, headquartered in Delair, N.J., has announced that Bill Wetmore has joined the company as chief operating officer (COO). In this role, Wetmore will assist in the strategic growth of the organization and focus on business development in existing and new end markets, among other activities. Wetmore has more than 30 years of experience in the aluminum extrusion industry, having served as executive vice president and president of the William L. Bonnell Co., a division of Tredegar Corp. He also has served as a member of the board of directors for the Aluminum Extrusion Council.

SAF West Gains New Management
Atlanta-based Southern Aluminum Finishing Co. (SAF) has hired David Simonsen as its first chief of production at SAF West. Simonsen has overall responsibility for production operations in Redding, Calif., including the fabrication of aluminum sheet and extrusions. Simonsen’s background includes work as a licensed sheet metal contractor and assistant manager of truss production in the building materials industry.

The company also has hired M. Jason Bonner as branch manager of the SAF-West facility. He will be responsible for the production, sales operations and distribution and fabrication of the facility’s aluminum sheet and extrusions.The new SAF-West Redding, Calif., facility opened earlier this year to expand SAF’s national distribution and production services. n

Alliance Glass and Metal Promotes Patrick Love
Alliance Glass and Metal Inc. in Romeoville, Ill., has promoted Patrick Love to the position of operations manager. Love has been in the industry for 24 years. For the past three years he has worked for Alliance Glass and Metal as a senior project manager. As operations manager, Love’s new duties will include managing, organizing and overseeing all aspects of the company’s project management team.
