The 9600 Series Genesis™ electric strike now offered by Top Notch Distributors in Honesdale, Pa., is completely surface-mounted—making it the first of its kind, the company reports. The 9600 features a solenoid that is mounted internally and two independently operating locking mechanisms made of stainless steel. All of the electric strike’s components are encased in its 9- by 1 3/4- by 3/4-inch faceplate. According to information from the company, this simplifies installation by eliminating cuts to the jamb.
