IT Managers More Involved in Physical Security Decisions,
IT managers are getting more involved in decisions regarding physical
security solutions, according to a new report featured from the Security
Industry Association (SIA).
A survey of integrators and installers of IP-based security products by
IMS Research found that more than three-fourths of companies are working
with IT managers more now than they were a year ago. The survey also discovered
that three out of five IT managers are involved in physical security purchase
“This shows just how much physical security is converging with IT,” says
SIA director of research Mark Visbal. “A few years ago, they were different
worlds. Now, in many cases, it’s difficult, if not impossible, to separate
one from the other.”
Dialock Delivers RFID and Electronic Locking

and electronic locking in standalone, programmed or fully networked solutions.
Custom features and modular components allow system designers to precisely
tailor access control solutions to each installation.
Dialock solutions feature small transponder keys (an RFID read/write credential)
that offer optimum security, a long service life without batteries or
mechanical wear and flexible programming based on wireless data transfer.
With more than a trillion possible code combinations, the company says
it’s a secure identification system that is resistant to copy and tamper-proof.
