CPFilms Partners with Ford in Russia
St. Louis-based Solutia Inc.’s CPFilms^® business has been chosen by Ford Motor Co., ZAO, to supply all Ford dealers in Russia with LLumar^® window film. CPFilms says this is the first business project involving automotive manufacturers and window film suppliers in Russia. 

CPFilms will provide training to Ford service staff and technicians to install LLumar kits in several Ford models. The 109 dealerships will offer five types of LLumar window film: three that provide solar protection and two that provide security as well as solar control. 

Alexander Proskuryakov, CPFilms’ sales manager for Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States, says the use of automotive window film is a growing trend in Russia, as consumers see that it can enhance the appearance, performance, safety and security of their vehicles. www.llumar.com

Panorama^® Dealers Meet in San Diego 
San Diego-based Bekaert held its first-ever National Panorama Dealer Meeting in San Diego, March 30-31. More than 100 dealers from across the country attended the meeting. Panorama dealers were able to participate in San Diego facility tours and learn about new product developments. In addition, Bekaert recognized several of its dealers for their outstanding achievements in 2006 during the awards night, held on March 31. The 2006 Dealers of the Year included: 

• East: Rich Eannarino of New England Sun Control LLC in Smithfield, R.I.
• Central: David Capps of AAA Glass Tint Inc. in Crystal Lake, Ill.
• West: John Henderson of Royal Window Films in Anaheim, Calif.The 2006 New Dealers of the Year included: 
• East: Mark and Lisa McDaniel of Triangle Window Films in Cary, N.C.
• Central: Scott and Marcie Webb of Solar Shield in Yukon, Okla.
• West: James Hendrickson of Vinyl Designyl in Moss Beach, Calif.

The company’s Outstanding Business Growth award was presented to Matthew Erbrick and Robin Staveley of United Home Solutions in Alpharetta, Ga. Eannarino of New England Sun Control was also recognized as the 2006 Panorama Hilite Dealer of the Year.

DISTRIBUTION
Global Window Films Adds Four Distributors 
Global Window Films in Pembroke Pines, Fla., has four new distributors.

In January 2007, Jeffrey Plummer, former vice president of sales and marketing for Bekaert Specialty Films, opened Global Window Films of Florida. Plummer also teamed up with industry veteran Phillip Hollocher to establish Global Window Films of Texas, which opened in March 2007 and serves dealers in Texas and Louisiana. Hollocher also previously was involved in sales for Bekaert in China and Latin America.

Global has added Raymundo Moreno to head up distribution of Global Window Films in Mexico through his company, Solar Control Films SA.
