SEMA Gears Up for Another Big Year

It’s time for the SEMA Show and this year the event is gearing up for
a crowded show floor. The massive Las Vegas Convention Center is hosting
the show again and encompassing three of the center’s halls. Making appearances
will be a variety of vehicle supply and restyling companies as well as
some special celebrity guests. Among the celebrity guests, attendees will
have the chance to meet: race car driver Mario Andretti, comedian Sinbad,
Vinnie DiMartino from American Chopper Senior Vs. Junior and personalities
from the SPEED network.
The show will also feature free educational sessions covering a variety
of topics including marketing, vehicle technology, industry trends, customer
service, business efficiency and more. Most importantly, attendees are
encouraged to take advantage of networking on the show floor. Window film
manufacturers will be exhibiting in the North Hall among other restyling
vendors. Below is a sample of some of the products and events that can
be found in window film industry booths.
Take Your Pick
Booth #12025-3M
With a variety of film choices, 3M will be displaying a number of different
film lines at the show. One of these is the Crystalline automotive film,
which is non-metalized and rejects 60 percent of heat and up to 97 percent
of IR rays. Color Stable automotive film will also be on display, featuring
57 percent heat rejection and offering a tinted factory glass look. Providing
up to 45 percent heat rejection, the FX Premium line will also be available
for attendees to evaluate.

Double Duty
Booth #12625-Johnson Window Films
Johnson Window Films will be featuring two of its popular automotive film
lines, Renegade and Marathon, at its booth this year. Renegade, a non-reflective
and GPS-friendly product, and Marathon, a high-performance metalized film,
are both available in the universal black color that matches the majority
of factory-tinted vehicles. Johnson Window Films will also be allowing
attendees to try their hand at shrinking film on the back window of a
VW bug.

Challenge Extended
Booth #12327-Madico Window Films
Madico Window Films is challenging SEMA Show attendees to partake in its
“Black Pearl Challenge.” Visitors to the company’s booth who shrink Black
Pearl film and offer feedback and will be rewarded with a free hat and
sample of the film. Madico will also be hosting a DefenZall paint protection
film installation demonstration and attendees can check out both Madico
films and Sun-Gard Window Film products on display, including Wincos films.

Three Times the Products
Booth #13055- NDFOS Window Film
NDFOS Window Film will be bringing three different categories of products
to the SEMA Show. The company’s SKY series of ceramic IR films will be
on-hand and features a 10-year warranty, 99 percent heat rejection and
no electronic interference. Also available for attendees to view will
be the company’s anti-fog film, which is available in a 2- and 4-mil thickness
and can be used for vehicles, showers, goggles and other items. Finally,
the company will also be showing its anti-fingerprint film which was designed
for high-traffic entrances in commercial and residential buildings.

Booth #12161-Nexfil USA
Nexfil, a Korean manufacturer, will be bringing the new NEXGARD film line
to display at the show, which includes NEXGARD sputtered IR films, NEXGARD
automotive film, NEXGARD two-tone films, and NEXGARD ST-Films. NEXGARD
sputtered IR film is for residential and commercial applications and maximizes
IR rejection. According to the company, the NEXGARD ST-Films are made
from a color-infusion process that adds color to the chip before it is
made into the base film.

One Stop Shop
Booth #12614-Scorpion Window Film
Whether an attendee is looking for film or tools, Scorpion Window Film
will have both at its booth. At this year’s show the company will be showcasing
8-mil ultra-clear paint protection film branded by Avery Dennison. It
is backed by a five-year outdoor durability warranty and free samples
of the film will be available at the booth. Also on display at the booth

Solutions from Solutia
Booth #12013-Solutia’s Performance Films Division
At this year’s event Solutia’s Performance Films Division booth will be
full of the LLumar film line. The company will display the LLumar CTX
line with features including up to 60 percent heat rejection and 94 percent
glare reduction. The film has no signal interference and a wide range
of VLTs. Also in the booth, attendees can find LLumar’s paint protection
film which features a dual layer construction. The 8-mil film is available
in widths of 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 48 and 60 inches.

PPF Rollout
Booth #12125-SunTek/Commonwealth Laminating & Coating
SunTek/Commonwealth Laminating & Coating has decided to launch a new
endeavor at this year’s SEMA Show. The company’s new paint protection
film line will be debuting at the show and features both a coated and
non-coated version as well as a five-year warranty covering cracking,
bubbling and yellowing. Along with the new paint protection film the company
will also be bringing its automotive films to the show.

Feel It Out
Booth #126470-Wintech Window Films
Wintech Window Films is bringing its FEELM Xenium carbon window film series
to the SEMA Show this year. The FEELM Xenium film features a densely packed
nano carbon compound to boost the film’s coloration and performance. At
the company’s booth attendees can also find Wintech Window Films’ full
line of carbon fiber vinyl wrap products, taillight protection film and
paint protection film. Demonstrations will be taking place throughout
the show at the company’s booth.
