International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ 2012

Join Window Film magazine, the International Window Film Association and your colleagues for the 2012 International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ (IWFC) September 20-22 in Louisville! The Exhibition/Extravaganza and Tint-Off™ competitions will be held September 21-22, 2012. The IWFC 2012 will be host to hard-hitting seminars, fierce competitions and incomparable networking opportunities—all for the window film industry. Plan Your Trip Early
Make sure you are close to all the action! Get the most “bang for your buck” by reserving your hotel room early for the discounted room rate and pre-registering to receive the full event for an early-bird rate. Pre-registration also helps us plan proper room sizes and seating, adequate food and beverage and other items for your enjoyment and comfort. You must pre-register by August 31, 2012 to receive discounted registration rates.

Locating the Registration Desk
Registration will be available in two different locations, dependent on when you are picking up your badge. Registration will be in the Louisville Marriott Downtown on Thursday, September 20 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Friday, September 21 from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Registration will then be open in the Kentucky International Convention Center on Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, September 22 from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Louisville Marriott Downtown and the Kentucky International Convention Center are directly connected to the Hyatt Regency via a parking garage and a temperature-controlled skywalk. The Louisville Marriott Downtown will host educational seminars including the keynote address. The Kentucky International Convention Center will host the Exhibition/Extravaganza which includes the Tint-Off™ competitions. You will find both easily accessible. Co-located with the International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off will be Auto Glass Week™ 2012. Auto Glass Week consists of educational seminars dedicated to the auto glass industry as well as AGRR™ magazine’s repair and replacement competitions. These competitions will be held on the Exhibition/Extravaganza floor Sep-tember 21-22. Your attendee badge will get you into the auto glass seminars and access to view the competitions if you are looking to expand your business or gain more insight into the auto glass industry. International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ Exhibition/Extravaganza
The International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ Exhibition/Extravaganza show floor will be in the Kentucky International Convention Center on Friday, September 21 and Saturday, September 22. The Exhibition/Extravaganza gives attendees an opportunity to talk one-on-one with industry manufacturers and distributors to learn about the latest products available to the film industry. Attendees will also be able to view the International Window Film Tint-Off™ Architectural and Automotive Division competitions as contestants vie for first place and the gold medal. On Friday night the show floor will also play host to the Cocktail Party on the show floor and the Silent Charity Auction from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

International Window Film Tint-Off™ Architectural Division
Last held in 2008, the International Window Film Architectural Division Tint-Off competition is returning. The International Window Film Tint-Off Architectural Division is an opportunity for tinters from around the world to compete to tint an architectural frame. Industry veterans judge the competitors’ tint installations as well as their procedures, safety, and cleanliness. It is also a chance to learn from other professionals, execute quality installations, pick up innovative techniques and of course compete for the chance to hold the title of “World’s Best Architectural Window Film Tinter.”

In Order to Compete
You must be employed currently as an installer in a bona fide operating window film company and you must have at least one year of experience as a technician in the industry in order to compete. Be sure to register early. Pre-registration deadline for contestants is Friday, July 27, 2012. No registrations will be accepted after this date. The Winner’s Company Receives:
The first-place winner’s company is awarded: • Extensive media coverage and press releases sent on behalf of the champion’s company; • Use of the Architectural Tint-Off Winner logo on stationery, business cards and advertising for one year; • Use of the 2012 International Window Film Tint-Off – Architectural Division logo for an unlimited time; and • A congratulations ad and coverage of the victor and his/her company will appear in Window Film magazine.

For Our Champion
The first place winner of the International Window Film Tint-Off 2012 – Architectural Division will receive $1,000, a gold medal and trophy, as well as bragging rights as the “World’s Best Architectural Window Film Tinter.” Second place will receive $500 as well as a silver medal, and third will receive $250 and a bronze medal.

International Window Film Tint-Off™
Automotive Division The International Window Film Tint-Off Automotive Division is an opportunity for tinters from around the world to compete and demonstrate their tint applications. Industry veterans judge the competitors’ tint jobs as well as their procedures, safety and cleanliness. This event provides the opportunity for competitors to learn from other professionals, execute quality film applications, pick up innovative techniques and of course compete for the chance to hold the title of “World’s Best Automotive Window Film Tinter.”

In Order to Compete

Being a member of the IWFA provides multiple membership benefits. IWFA members can register for the conference at a reduced rate. Early-birds, who register before June 29, receive a $149 rate. Pre-registration ends August 31 with a discounted rate of $179 and $209 afterwards. Non-members pay an early-bird fee of $179, a pre-registration fee of $209 and after August 31 the cost is $229.
