The glass industry will travel to Italy in 2015 for the bi-annual Vitrum, taking place October 6-9 at the Fiera Milano exhibition complex in Rho. The highlights of the event, now being held for the 19th time, will include glass products and machinery from around the world for industry, buildings, furniture and residential settings.
According to event organizers, the year 2015 will be an important one for Italy. Expo 2015, a non-commercial, universal exposition, will place the international spotlight on Milan, welcoming millions of visitors eager to discover and appreciate the finest offerings from Italy and around the world. Open from May 1 to October 31, 2015, the exhibition covers one million square meters and is expected to bring in more than 20 million visitors. Vitrum, which recently attracted more than 20,000 visitors, is scheduled to take place during this period. This will provide exhibitors the chance to take advantage of this opportunity and welcome a wider, qualified public, surrounded by a host of all-Italian style offerings and events.
A special focus will be given to “made in Italy” glass technologies, which took up about
70 percent of the exhibition space at the last Vitrum.
