MGA’s By Wagener Passes Away

Mid-Atlantic Glass Association (MGA) member By Wagener passed away last Saturday at 86 years old.

A longtime area representative in the industry, Wagener started his career in sales with Scott Paper Co. in Philadelphia prior to college and a stint with the Marine Corps.

He entered the glazing industry in 1964 with AllianceWall & HA Leed Co., before joining Solar Seal South and retiring in the early 1990s.

Wagener is survived by three children and “had many friends,” according to MGA past-president Rich Fortkiewicz.

“He had a great zest for life,” says Fortkiewicz. “He was a great friend and mentor, and the memories are many.”
