Bostik Expands to Johor Bahru

Bostik, a global adhesive specialist for industrial manufacturing, construction and consumer markets, has opened a new production plant near the Malaysian city of Johor Bahru in order to expand its cementitious powder manufacturing capabilities.

“We are delighted to be bringing our innovative PMB technologies closer to fast-developing markets such as Malaysia and Singapore,” says Bostik CEO Bernard Pinatel. “We are sure that this brand new production unit will bring substantial benefit to the construction projects planned and already underway locally, and more widely to all of our clients in Southern Malaysia and Singapore.”

According to the company, the plant is strategically located to service a fast-developing local construction market that includes the surrounding Iskandar development region and several large housing projects in the Johor Bahru region.

The new facility will manufacture cementitious tile adhesives, including classifications class C2S1, C2E and C1E, non-shrink grout and skim coat. As a result of the expansion, products such as Excel-Flex, Maxi-Flex, Super-Fixall and Ultra-Mastik will also be more readily available to building professionals in southern Malaysia and Singapore.
