Milwaukee-based The Wagner Companies has appointed Doug Schaefer manager of architectural railing systems.

Schaefer brings more than 25 years of experience in lighting design, product line management and engineering new product development, as he has worked with companies such as Visa Lighting, Kohler Company, SPI Lighting and Manning Lighting Inc. Schaefer has a Bachelor of Science in industrial design from the University of Cincinnati, College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning.
In his new role, he will direct and coordinate the customer order and fulfillment processes by delegating responsibility and authority to members of his team, according to the company.
“This will increase the level of custom and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of the entire order fulfillment process,” reads a release from Wagner. “Doug will also be responsible for the team’s leadership, and developing and executing strategies, goals, plans and policies that support the architectural railing systems business.”
