“Goals Exceeded” at GPAD; Plans Made for 2016

Glass Processing Automation Days (GPAD) wrapped up March 20, and according to organizers, the three-day event was “a huge success.”

“The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive that our GPAD mission and goals were exceeded at this year’s conference,” says Ronald Crowl, president and CEO of FeneTech Inc. and founder of GPAD. “No other industry event provides this level of detailed discussion, education, and networking while having fun at a beautiful destination.”

GPAD provides glass processing executives an opportunity to gather in one place and learn about the latest machinery and software innovation, automation and integration. The 2015 GPAD conference took place at the Hyatt Regency Riverwalk in San Antonio, March 18-20.

“I was very pleased with the content and format of GPAD,” says Dr. Charles E. Boyer, vice president of research, process and product development at Viracon. “The theme of innovation and integration was well-coordinated. I much appreciated learning about new capabilities and I look forward to more in-depth follow-up in select technology areas.”

Adds John Dwyer, president of Syracuse Glass, “I enjoyed attending GPAD again because it gave me the opportunity to network with my industry peers in an intimate setting, to learn about the various new machinery and to meet some new potential vendors. The social events were outstanding and well organized.”

Next year’s event will take place in Nashville, Tenn., tentatively scheduled for mid-March.
