Graham Completes Acquisition Plan with Continental Glass Systems

Graham Architectural Products (GAP), based in York, Pa., has completed an agreement with Hialeah, Fla.-based Continental Glass Systems LLC (CGS) “to acquire a significant equity and operating partner position in the business of CGS,” according to a release.

GAP is a manufacturer of architectural-grade windows, window wall, doors and curtainwall, with manufacturing locations in York, New Castle, Pa., and Merrill, Wis.

The transaction, completed Tuesday, April 21, broadens Graham’s manufacturing footprint in the southern United States while adding a hurricane impact portfolio into its product mix. The newly acquired company will continue to operate and do business as Continental Glass Systems LLC. Shlomo Epstein will serve as chief executive officer of the business, and Samir Moussa as chief operating officer. Both are owners of the company.

“We’re pleased with how smoothly and quickly we were able to put this together with the leadership at CGS,” says GAP president and CEO Brian Hurley. “I think this bodes well for the future and it shows that this is an excellent fit for both GAP and the team at CGS. Both companies share similar goals and we look forward to expanding our reach along the Gulf and Atlantic coastlines, as well as in inland impact zones in order to better serve our customers. This helps solidify our hurricane impact product offering nationwide.”

Adds Epstein and Moussa: “We’re glad that we were able to put this agreement together with GAP and we value the professionalism and significant fenestration industry perspective GAP brings. We are excited about this new partnership and the growth opportunities it brings for CGS as we begin leveraging our experience with the GAP organization. We will continue to focus on the relationships we have with architects and building owners and are looking forward to expanding our reach now that we are part of the GAP organization.”
