During the 19th staging of the Vitrum, which has been taking place this week in Milan, Italy, Greensboro, N.C.-based Matodi was recognized by Neptun for more than 100 machines sold.

According to Jack Van Meerbeeck, president of Matodi, the award represents to the company and its North American customer base, “the recognition and gratitude from the manufacturer Neptun, owned by the Bavelloni family.”

He adds, “Started only four years ago from scratch, Matodi has reached this milestone thanks to the support of many repeat ‘Bavelloni family’ customers and the new relationships it has established. This milestone established during spring this year has now been largely surpassed thanks to not only the support of this terrific customer base, but also the new Vertical CNC Solutions provided by Neptun.”

They forgot to mention the superior technical service provided by Tony Walsh. Having spent many years in glass shops working for others, then for himself, he has a distinct advantage over many glass machine techs. He’s used the machines for decades and knows how they are supposed to work and what they can do. He knows so much more than what’s in the schematics.
