Walters & Wolf Tops Out ENR List

Engineering News-Record (ENR) recently released its “Top 600 Specialty Contractors” list, which includes ENR’s top-20 list of firms in glazing and curtainwall. All 20 firms combined had a revenue of just over $1 billion in 2014, with the top three companies alone accounting for more than half of that total.

Walters & Wolf moved up three spots to No. 1 on the glazing and curtainwall list, having recorded $217.2 million in revenue in 2014—a 21-percent increase from 2013.

Harmon Inc. held its spot at No. 2 with $202.8 million in revenue in 2014, W&W Glass was third at $100 million and Karas & Karas was fourth at $71.1 million.

Missing from the list is Enclos, which ranked No. 1 last year and No. 2 the year before. According to this year’s USGlass magazine list of top contract glaziers, the company recorded $271.5 million in revenue last year.

Architectural Wall Systems ($52.6 million), Haley-Greer Inc. ($46.5 million) and Alliance Glazing Technologies ($44.3 million) weren’t previously ranked but made this year’s list at Nos. 5, 6 and 7, respectively.

DGC Capital Contracting Corp. saw the biggest percentage change in revenue from 2013 to 2014, bringing in $6.6 million in the latter year and taking the 20th spot.

Walters & Wolf was the only glazing/curtainwall company in the top 100 of the overall list, ranking 58^th.
