Guardian Industries will sponsor hall-of-fame baseball player Johnny Bench as the 2016 Glass Association of North America (GANA) BEC Conference keynote presenter.

Johnny Bench
The former catcher was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in January 1989 and was named the starter behind the plate of the All-Century Team. At the BEC Conference, to be held February 21-23 in Las Vegas, he will share his “Vowels of Success” presentation.
“Guardian Industries Corp. is very excited to sponsor the BEC keynote from baseball Hall of Fame catcher Johnny Bench,” says Chris Dolan, director of marketing, North America. “Guardian is proud to continue our support of the BEC keynote speaker again in 2016. We know it will be a great event.”
Bench’s accolades include National League Rookie of the Year (1968), National League Most Valuable Players (1970, 72), back-to-back World Series Championships (1975, 76), World Series MVP (1976), 14-time All-Star and 10 Gold Gloves. In 1980, Bench set an endurance record by catching 100 or more games for 13 consecutive seasons.
Bench also has experience in entertainment, logging thousands of hours in appearances on television networks such as ESPN, MLB Network and Fox Sports. He has also participated in events such as touring with Bob Hope’s Christmas Shows, and visiting troops in the Far East during Desert Storm.
The conference will take place at Caesars Palace. The event will feature numerous presentations including a “State of the Industry” update from Serge Martin, vice president of marketing at AGC, as well as an “Experiential Branding” overview from Peggy Noe Stevens, branding and marketing expert.
