United Architectural Metals (UAM), a designer, manufacturer and fabricator of unitized curtainwall systems, has named Stephen Evans its new design manager.
He has more than 36 years of industry experience.
“I am excited to have Steve on board with us,” says Tom Nesbitt, president and chief executive officer of UAM. “We were after someone with his significant background and his abilities. He will serve us and our customer base well.”
Evans will manage the design of aluminum, steel and glass curtainwall and window systems. He will assist the preconstruction and production departments to find solutions to wall system façade design challenges, according to the company. He will also collaborate with project managers to resolve field issues and will assist with mock-up development, material selection, procurement and quality assurance plans.
