Ken Wakefield of Seattle, Wash.-based Wakefield Glass passed away on Wednesday, February 10 at the age of 70.
He was born in Seattle on March 16, 1945. He entered the glazing industry after graduating from Evergreen High School and opened his own glass business in 1977, according to his Legacy.com obituary.
Wakefield Glass has been a member of the Washington Glass Association for 25 years, and Ken’s son, Rick Wakefield, is the association’s incoming president.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 20 at 11:30 a.m. at Yarington’s/White Center Funeral Home, located at 10708 – 16th Avenue SW, Seattle, Wash. 98146.
A Celebration of his life will immediately follow services and will be held at the Burien Elks Lodge, located at 14006 1st South, Burien, Wash.
