IGMA Soliciting Thoughts on ASTM Field Correlation Study

The Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance (IGMA) is seeking feedback from its membership on expectations and concerns regarding the proposed field correlation study to the ASTM E 2190.

The proposed study will examine field performance of both air and gas content insulating glass units to establish a correlation with the ASTM E 2190 specification standard.
The scope of the task group is: “To study and evaluate the performance of insulating glass units certified to the ASTM E 2190 standard for durability and gas content in residential and commercial applications from initial manufacture, through fabrication to window or wall system installation and monitor during defined periods of time. The proposed outcome will be to publish a technical report of the field performance of insulating glass units certified to the ASTM E 2190.”

There are currently three approaches under consideration. For more information, click here.
