Four architectural glass and metal contractors were named winners of FCA International’s sixth annual CREST (Contractors Recognizing Excellence in Safety Training) Awards.
“The FCA CREST Awards were created [in 2011] to encourage and recognize contractors who have led an effective safety program throughout the year,” says Anthony Darkangelo, CEO of FCA International. “CREST Award winners have proven that protecting their employees is a priority at their company, and that they are a leader in construction safety.”
According to FCA, winners are objectively selected based on key safety metrics such as years the company has had a safety program, safety training, injury/illness rates, recordable incident rates, EMR trends and more.
The four winners in the architectural glass and metal industry were: Boss Glass Co. (Dover, N.J); Eighteen Glass Co. (East Brunswick, N.J.); Graboyes Commercial Window Co. (Philadelphia); and Royal Glass Co. (Santa Clara, Calif).
Five other industry companies finished in the top ten. They were: Architectural Glass & Metal (Clifton Park, N.Y.); Empirehouse (Mounds View, Minn.); Ferguson Neudorf Glass (Beamsville, Ont.); National Glass & Metal Co. (Horsham, Pa.); and Walters & Wolf (Fremont, Calif.).
