Birmingham, Ala.-based Allstate Glass Co. has been sold to Mitch Wallace and partners. Wallace, a glazing industry veteran, is currently working through the transition with longtime Allstate Glass owner Mike Plant.
Allstate Glass has been in operation since 1970, when it was founded by Sam Plant, current president Mike Plant’s father. Mike Plant plans to retire after the transition is complete.
“We are thrilled at the prospect of this acquisition and what it will bring to Allstate Glass,” says Mike Plant. “We look forward to seeing Allstate further expand its ability to service our core customers as it moves into the future.”
Mitch Wallace, who will assume the role of president of Allstate Glass, brings more than 27 years of glass and glazing executive experience to the business.
“I look forward to being part of the Allstate Glass Company team, which has had a strong presence in Birmingham and surrounding areas over the past 46 years,” says Wallace. “It is an exciting prospect to not only grow and expand relationships with our current core customers, but also cultivate new opportunities.”
