This year’s GlassBuild America has kept many exhibitors busy, particularly those on the equipment and machinery side. A number of companies introduced or highlighted some of their newest innovations.

Billco is showing its new 96-inch washing machine with a compact footprint.

Bohle, for example, said at this year’s show they are primarily focused on showcasing tools and supplies. The company featured a number of new products, including its Liftmaster B1, which is used to transfer and install glass. The rotating, tilting tool can be used to move and manipulate up to 400 pounds of glass.

Another new product for Bohle, which the company’s Justin Lineberry described as “the hit of the show,” is the Aquadrill. This is a cordless, handheld drill that helps users save time and increase productivity.

On the big machinery side, Mappi was highlighting its ATS 4.0 tempering line. Company president Nancy Mammaro said the machine is in line for use with the upcoming Industry 4.0 that is coming in Europe. This coincides with the movement toward the Internet of Things, which addresses the overall optimization of the way all processes in a fabrication plant work together.

Mammaro also stressed that Mappi is continuing to grow and has a stronger presence than ever before in North America.

Billco Manufacturing also had a new 96-inch washing machine that has a compact footprint. Called the Z Washer, it is specifically packaged with certain features that allow the compact to offer it at a competitive price point. Some features include an integrated pre-spray zone, filtration package for greater process control and less water consumption, as well as a rollout tank cart system for easy access and cleaning. It also has a lift system for clear views to each end of the washer, while providing electronic height adjustment and easy cleaning of rolls and brushes.

The company’s Steve Rodgers said it’s a “one-stop washer for everyone.”
