Engineering News-Record (ENR) recently released its “Top 600 Specialty Contractors” list, which includes ENR’s top-20 list of firms in glazing and curtainwall. All 20 firms combined had revenue of more than $1.3 billion in 2015, with the top four companies accounting for half of that total.
Harmon Inc. topped the list with $245.9 million in revenue in 2015—a 21-percent increase from the year before. Harmon held the second spot on last year’s list.
[The top-ranked companies in 2015 and 2014, Walters and Wolf and Enclos, respectively, aren’t on this year’s list. According to this year’s USGlass magazine list of top contract glaziers, Walters and Wolf recorded $269 million in sales in 2015, and Enclos at $299.5 million.]
Benson Industries was absent from the list last year but came in at No. 2 this year, with $235 million in sales in 2015. W&W Glass retained its third-ranked spot with $145 million in revenue, a 45-percent increase from the previous year.
Architectural Glass & Aluminum and Pioneer Cladding and Glazing Systems also joined this year’s list at Nos. 4 and 5, respectively.
Crown Corr made a notable year-to-year leap, moving from No. 10 to No. 6 thanks to a 184-percent increase in revenue from 2014 to 2016. Egan Co. also made the biggest move, going from No. 19 to No. 13 with a 112-percent increase in revenue.

Harmon and Benson were the only glazing/curtainwall companies in the top 100 of the overall list, ranking 80th and 84th, respectively.
