The Erdman High Speed Parallel Process IG Line is the first high-speed line that can produce an insulating glass unit in less than 19 seconds, according to the company. The Parallel Process Line derives its name from the innovation of shuttling the topping lite to a back lane. Therefore, the two glass lites run parallel to each other.
The length of the line is under 100 feet, and cycle time is lower than the 30 to 35 seconds of a traditional line, according to Erdman. It also requires only one grid application instead of two.
