Graboyes Commercial Window Co. announced Ellis Guiles has assumed ownership of the company and was named its new president. Earlier this month, Guiles and his investment partners acquired the company from previous owners Tricia Scott, John Scott and company founder Terry Graboyes.
The new entity is in the process of registering as a Minority Business Enterprise.
John Scott will continue to serve as chief operating officer. Guiles, a 35-year veteran of the building and construction industry, will provide the day-to-day leadership and overall strategic direction of the company, according to a release from Graboyes.
“I couldn’t be more pleased to have the opportunity to lead this talented team of people,” says Guiles. “I look forward to continuing the standard of excellence Graboyes Commercial is known for among its customers and communities, and to expanding its smart envelope, building performance, and leadership position within the sustainable building market of the Mid-Atlantic region.”
Guiles joins Graboyes Commercial from Siemens Building Technologies, where he served as senior manager of sales and business development. A resident of Wayne, Pa., Guiles is a licensed professional engineer with an MBA in global product strategy and 35 years of experience in building performance, HVAC and construction. He has held positions in research and development, manufacturing, sales, distribution, business development, marketing and general management.
