Petersen will expand its presence in the Western U.S. market, as the company is opening a new Pac-Clad manufacturing facility in Phoenix next year.
The 52,000-square-foot facility, scheduled to be fully operational in the first quarter of 2018, will provide the Western construction market with the company’s full line of Pac-Clad steel and aluminum cladding products, including standing seam roof panels, hidden- and exposed-fastener wall panels, sheet, coil and more.
“To date, we have been limited in our ability to effectively service customers in the Western United States, largely because of the challenges and high costs of transporting products from our Texas and Illinois facilities and over the Rocky Mountains,” says CEO Mike Petersen. “By opening this Phoenix facility, we’re creating a foundation on which to grow the Pac-Clad brand into the West Coast market.”
The new facility will be managed by David Hedrick, who has more than 15 years of management leadership in both the manufacturing and architectural metals industries.
Petersen’s new facility is located in existing commercial space south of downtown Phoenix. It is the company’s sixth location, joining facilities in Elk Grove Village, Ill., Acworth, Ga., Tyler, Texas, Annapolis Junction, Md., and Andover, Minn.
