Days Filled with Education – Nights with Top Cuisine at Glass TEXpo™ ’18

Spend your days attending our educational seminars and consider stepping out to the Riverwalk in the evening for some great local cuisine at this year’s Glass TEXpo™ ’18, May 10-11, 2018 in San Antonio. The event will be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and San Antonio Marriott Riverwalk. It is the largest trade show in the area for the architectural glass and metal industries and will host two days full of quality education. Here are just a few local spots to indulge in great food:

Schilo’s
Founded in 1917, Schilo’s is San Antonio’s oldest operating restaurant and a popular haunt. The famous landmark restaurant is known for their overstuffed sandwiches, hearty soups and German-style delicacies. Schilo’s is also one of the most reasonably priced restaurants near the Riverwalk: almost everything on the menu is under $10.

Boudro’s Texas Bistro
Boudro’s is one of the most popular and treasured attractions nestled in the heart of the San Antonio Riverwalk. The Texas bistro features unique dishes such as pecan-grilled lamb chops with peach chutney and herb-smoked salmon tacos. Its distinctive menu offers flavors of regional heritage and southwestern specialties, making them one of the 50 best restaurants in the U.S., as cited by Esquire Magazine.

Little Rhein Steak House
For more than 50 years, Little Rhein Steak House is a fine dining restaurant, famous worldwide for their perfectly prepared steaks and award-winning wine list. A great historical spot for outdoor dining, the Little Rhein Steak House offers the city’s best filet mignon and is widely applauded for its romantic setting.

The Esquire Tavern
The Esquire is the oldest bar on the San Antonio Riverwalk and opened the same year, month and day that prohibition was repealed and has been a beloved San Antonio watering hole ever since. The Esquire slings refined cocktails, cold beer and has excellent food ratings, all in a traditional speakeasy atmosphere!

Bella on the River
Bella on the River is a small dining restaurant off the Riverwalk offering a diverse Mediterranean menu full of creativity, balance, quality and value. One of the best date spots in the city, Bella on the River scores major points with its dim lighting and intimate atmosphere.

The Luxury
The Luxury is an unconventional counter-serve beer garden and kitchen that boasts a massive, covered, outdoor space equipped with swings overlooking San Antonio’s beautiful Riverwalk. The Luxury has a small menu choice, but delivers quality, filling food and provides a huge selection of beers and ciders. If you are looking to relax in the sun by the Riverwalk, this is the perfect atmosphere for you!
