Key Media & Research Wins 11 ASBPE Awards; USGlass Wins Four

USGlass magazine won four American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) Mid-Atlantic Regional awards on Wednesday, honoring the staff’s outstanding work in print and video.

The publication won four bronze medals — one for editor Ellen Rogers, video producer Chris Bunn and assistant editor Jordan Scott in the video category (news coverage) for the October Newscast: Behind the Scenes of 2112 Penn; two for Rogers in the print category (best special section and best technical article) for Trying to Reason with Hurricane Season and Moves that Matter, respectively; and one for art director Saundra Hutchinson in the design category (best infographics). The best special section article included contributions from Rogers, Scott, contributing editor Trey Barrineau, research editor Nick St. Denis and editorial director Tara Taffera.

USGlass’ sister publication, Door and Window Market (DWM) Magazine took home four awards as well. These include two regional gold medal winners –Taffera and Bunn for best webcast series, and DWM editor Barrineau for best news analysis. Those entries are also national ASBPE Award finalists, and will be honored on May 10 during a banquet at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

Additionally, DWM won a silver medal for best single-topic coverage by a team and a regional bronze medal in the best online analysis/commentary category.

Two other publications from Key Media & Research (KMR), the parent company of USGlass, won regional ASBPE awards as well. Window Film magazine won a regional silver for video (news coverage) and a regional bronze for print (group profile). AGRR magazine took home a regional bronze for print (impact/investigative).

In all, KMR won 11 awards, the most ever for the company.
