Members of the glass and glazing industry will gather in San Antonio this week, as Glass TEXpo ʼ18 opens tomorrow with educational seminars and networking opportunities on the trade show floor. The event takes place at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center through Friday afternoon.
Before the show officially opens, attendees will tee off at the 2nd Annual Jerry Wright Memorial Golf Tournament at 1:30 p.m. today. From 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. attendees will have an opportunity to network at the first-ever TEXpo Pub Crawl co-sponsored by the Texas Glass Association (TGA) Young Professionals.
Registration
Registration will be open from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday in Hall 4 West for those who show up early. Exhibitors can begin moving in at the same time in Hall 4B.
Registration will run from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday in Hall 4 West.
Those who have not yet registered may do so on-site.
Seminars
Tomorrow, the event officially opens with seminars and workshops from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Attendees can enjoy discussions of in-depth industry topics from Jonathan Granados, vice president and managing partner of Curv Compliance in San Antonio; Julia Schimmelpenningh, global architectural applications manager for Eastman Chemical Company in Springfield, Mass.; and Bernard Lax, CEO of Pulp Studio in Gardena, Calif.
Granados’ seminar, Changes, Updates and What’s New that You Need to Know About Safety, will take place from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m., followed by Schimmelpenningh’s Hurricane Glazing (1 AIA LU) from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Lax’s seminar, Decorative Glass: Benefiting From Graphic Imaging (1 AIA LU), will wrap up the morning sessions from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Click here for the full seminar list.
The TGA awards lunch will run from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. followed by a keynote speech from body language expert and best-selling author Janine Driver.
Trade Show Floor
