ClearShield Technologies: Booth 468
The new ClearPad H1600M fully-automatic production line is the latest addition to Ritec International’s ClearSpray options. The system is designed for the fast, safe and easy factory application of Ritec ClearShield, which is part of the ClearShield Eco-System, converting ordinary, high-maintenance glass into easy-clean glass, according to the company.
The main innovations of the H1600M come from the use of a pad rather than spray application, and its horizontal design that makes it easy to use as a standalone application line in the factory or a continuation of the tempering process. Compared to spraying, pad application ensures high coverage with less mess and wastage, according to the company. The use of special extraction equipment is not required with this application method.
The H1600M’s modular design is adaptable to meet individual customer requirements, all volumes of production and types of flat glass. According to the company, benefits for glass fabricators and processors include:
- Increased productivity and improved coverage rates for high production, reduced costs and fast pay-back;
- Easy installation, operation and maintenance, easily adapting to most production volumes;
- High quality and durable construction that is easily maintained and reliable; and
- Consistent quality, proven under actual operating conditions.
This production line is currently developed for flat single pane glass. However, pad application for other types of glass such as IG units is possible. ClearShield can be applied in the factory using Ritec’s range of semi-automatic or fully-automatic machinery.
