In addition to the trade show, GlassBuild America will also offer a number of educational sessions throughout the event. Many of these will take place on the show floor in the Express Learning theatre (booth 913). Sessions will cover a vareity of topics including an economic forecast, social media, technical codes and more.
Show visitors can also hear from USGlass magazine columnist and Glass.com® spokesperson Dustin Anderson. In addition to serving as president of Anderson Glass & Mirror Co. in Waco, Texas, Anderson was also the resident glass expert on the HGTV series Fixer Upper. His session, which takes place at 1:30 p.m. and again at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13, will focus on how to recruit and retain employees through online industry promotion.
For even more educational opportunities, some exhibitors have organized specialty seminars. Diamon-Fusion International will host a session titled “Are You Running Your Glass Facility as Efficiently as Possible?” on Thursday, September 13 from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. in meeting room #N240 of the Las Vegas Convention Center. The session will focus on automating hydrophobic coatings and will cover how automation can help reduce labor costs, solve application errors and harness new opportunities by using protective coatings on IG units, heavy fabricated glass and more.
