Glass Expo Rocky Mountain™ ’19 is headed to the Mile High City for two jam-packed days of quality education, networking opportunities and a bustling show floor. The architectural glass event will take place at the Hyatt Regency Aurora-Denver Conference Center in Aurora, Colo. (suburban Denver), on January 24-25, 2019.
There is plenty to do at this year’s Glass Expo Rocky Mountain, and the city of Denver has much to offer as well. If you are looking for some art and culture to round out your trip to Denver, you’re in luck. Here are some great ways to satisfy your inner esthetic.
Golden Triangle Creative District
The Golden Triangle Creative District is home to eight of Denver’s museums and a plethora of galleries, fine art studios and specialty stores. This neighborhood houses the renowned Denver Art Museum, as well as several lesser known treats, including the Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art and the Molly Brown House Museum.
River North Art District (RiNo)
Another of Denver’s creative hubs is the River North Art District (RiNo). RiNo has become a hot spot for artsy types in Denver, and is known for its vibrant and innovative street art found at almost every turn.
RiNo’s location on the South Platte River Trail makes it fun and easy to bike to and around the district, taking in all the stunning street art. Another fantastic way to absorb the urban art is via a guided tour led by Denver natives with intimate knowledge of the city and the art that adorns it.
Tennyson Street Cultural District
The Tennyson Street Cultural District is home to the historic Oriental Theater, one of the coolest venues in Denver, hosting live music, film, comedy and live performances. The neighborhood boasts a growing number of art galleries, where you can spend an afternoon browsing antique prints, photographs and paintings from local artists. You’ll also find a few live music venues and some great Italian and Mexican food, all tucked into one of Denver’s funkiest neighborhoods.
Arts on Belmar
Another excellent place to take in the finer aspects of Denver is The Belmar Shopping and Dining District, a 22-square-block pedestrian district that re-creates the ambiance of an old town village center. Artisans working in fiber, photography, oils, acrylics, digital, textiles, watercolor, mixed media and more can be found on this easternmost block of Belmar.
