The next stop for Glass Expos is Aurora, Colo. (suburban Denver), which will host Glass Expo Rocky Mountain™ (GERM) ʼ19 from January 24-25 at the Hyatt Regency Aurora-Denver Conference Center. The event provides attendees with opportunities to learn through educational seminars and to network on the show floor with dozens of exhibitors.
Registration will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 24 and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, January 25 outside of the Aurora Ballroom. Those who have not yet registered may do so on-site.
GERM includes a long line-up of seminars on both Thursday and Friday. The educational program runs from 7:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, and from 8 to 10 a.m. on Friday in conference room six.
Tomorrow, the show opens with a welcome from USGlass magazine publisher Debra Levy. She will be followed by Greg Galloway, ProTek brand manager for YKK AP America Inc., and his seminar, “Blast Mitigation – How to Turn a No into a Yes (1 AIA HSW LU).” Casey Flores, account executive of expositions at USGlass parent company Key Media & Research, will discuss the region’s economic standing and forecast what to expect in commercial and residential building during the “Rocky Mountain Economic Update.”
At 9:30 a.m., Ron Hull, marketing manager for Kuraray Trosifol PVB for the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa, will lead the seminar, “Designing Safer Glass Railings with Laminated Glass (1 AIA HSW LU).”
Other seminars include finding quality workers in the glass industry, trends in the glass and glazing industry, hiring and selling to millennials and C-suite changes coming in the contract glazing industry. For the full seminar schedule, click here.
From 10:30 a.m. to noon on Thursday, attendees can gain valuable insights into body language from expert Janine Driver during her keynote speech “You Say More Than You Think.” Driver is a popular media guest, with appearances on shows including The Dr. Oz Show, Anderson Cooper, NBC’s TODAY and Weekend TODAY, FOX News and CNN’s Larry King Live.
ABCs of Business
Keytech North America president Lyle Hill will present business tips for each letter of the alphabet during the “ABCs of Business” seminar, being held at 7 p.m. on Thursday. His tips will give glass and glazing industry professional tips for success.
Trade Show Floor
The trade show floor will feature dozens of exhibitors for attendees to visit and learn about companies’ latest products and services. To view the full list of exhibitors click here. It will be open from 2 to 7 p.m. on Thursday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. A welcoming cocktail party will be held on the floor from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
