When Glass Expo Northeast™ (GENE) ’19 returns to Long Island in New York March 27-28, it will be joined by two additional events, also focused on glazing-related topics. Architects’ Forum™ as well as training and certification for the Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC), will be sharing the venue this year, with each event providing attendees a truly diverse and enriching experience. The events will take place at the Long Island Marriott in Uniondale, N.Y.
Architects’ Forum was created by the Architects’ Guide to Glass & Metal (AGG) magazine to provide architects the opportunity to meet with colleagues and gain essential education about glass and metal products and applications.
This one-day forum offers architects numerous instructive presentations, all of which are American Institute of Architects (AIA)-registered courses which grant AIA learning units. Sponsoring presenters include Quanex Building Products, Guardian Glass, Kuraray America and YKK AP America. Registered attendees of the Architects’ Forum also gain free entry to the Glass Expo Northeast™ tradeshow where they can further their knowledge about the architectural glass and metal industry. AGSC Training and Certification and Insurer’s CEU Forum
Automotive glass technicians who seek to become AGSC Accredited Automotive Glass Technicians can sign up for this one-day, fast track program to help become even more established in the trade. Registration for this program will include a three-hour installer education and prep class, the AGSC accreditation exam and admission to the Glass Expo Northeast show floor.
The three-hour education session and test prep course will cover OSHA regulation, all types of automotive glass replacement, NAGS and custom cut laminated glass parts—all of which will help in taking the examination. Training will take place March 28, starting at noon, with the ticketed exam beginning at 3:30 p.m. later that day.
Become an AGRSS-accredited technician at GENE! The training course is free for technicians who currently work for an AGSC registered member company. The cost is $49 for technicians who currently work for a non-AGSC registered member company. If your company applies for AGSC registration prior to this training event, your $49 payment will be credited toward the registration fee.
