Vitrum will take place in Milan, Italy, October 1-4 and organizers are expecting a good turnout this year. The event space is 8% larger than in 2017 and there are 5% more exhibitors, according to organizers. There will be 41 new companies that have either never exhibited or are returning after an absence of more than two years.
“The numbers are overwhelmingly positive,” says Vitrum president Dino Zandonella Necca. “… [This is] a reflection of the immense effort begun at the previous edition to construct a perfectly planned trade show experience based on the needs of industry professionals.”
The show will feature 12 specialized logos which indicate the show’s themed pathways. An updated list of confirmed exhibitors is available here. The “Save in My Notebook” function that appears in all the exhibitor profiles makes it possible for visitors to save company names of interest for easier consultation and more efficient organization of their time at the show.
“Among the many noteworthy innovations for the 2019 edition are the Start-Up Area, dedicated to technological and production innovations for the entire glass supply chain, and the Agents and Dealers Area, a space set aside for agents, representatives and international manufacturers,” says Vitrum director Laura Biason. “The MatchMaking platform is active again this year, another means of facilitating and enhancing the opportunities for industry professionals to do business, make contacts and schedule meetings based on their categories of interest.”
A series of seminars and workshops on key topics of interest to the glass industry further enhances the show, according to organizers, along with a cultural exhibit that will highlight glass works by internationally famed artists.
Also on the calendar is the “What’s hot in glass processing” event, set to take place October 2 at 2:30 pm in the brand-new meeting area in pavilion 7, where companies will present their latest innovations and technologies. This year Vitrum is also offering an Exhibitor Evening – an exclusive night of entertainment – and an opportunity to network and connect in a more casual setting designed for business and pleasure.
