GlassBuild America Returns to Atlanta

Atlanta is the site of GlassBuild America to be held September 17-19 at the Georgia World Congress Center. Hundreds of exhibitors will feature their newest products and developments for the architectural glass and glazing industry, from machinery and equipment to tools and supplies, components, hardware and of course, glass.

This year’s show will once again feature Express Learning—20-minute sessions that show officials describe as “TED Talks style” presentations. Some of the sessions include:

Tuesday, September 17

12 p.m.The Importance of Glass in Biophilic Design,  presented by Elizabeth Cotton, product manager, AGC Glass North America.

1 p.m.Annual Economic Forecast, presented by Connor Lokar, ITR Economics

2 p.m.After Automation: Next Steps for Fabricators, presented by Joe Erb, commercial sales specialist-IG systems, Quanex.

3 p.m.Protecting What Matters Most! Security Glazing for Schools, presented by Ben Baum, vice president of security sales, Bob Cummings, vice president of architectural sales and marketing, and Erin Bellis, inside sales manager, all with Consolidated Glass Holdings.

Wednesday, September 18

11 a.m. – Technical and Codes Update, presented by: Urmilla Sowell, the National Glass Association’s (NGA) director of technical services and advocacy, and Dr. Tom Culp, NGA code consultant.

1:30 pm – The Best and Most Interesting Shower Enclosures of 2019, presented by Chris Phillips, moderator of the Shower Door Professionals Facebook group.

Tuesday, the show will include the 14th annual Glazing Executives Forum. The event takes place from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and will include a number of informative sessions, as well as access to the expo floor and happy hour.

The exhibit hall will be open during the following times:

  • Tuesday, September 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday, September 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Thursday, September 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
