Glass Expo West™ ’19 is headed to San Diego tomorrow for two days of educational seminars, networking opportunities and holiday cheer on the trade show floor. The event runs from December 4-5 at the San Diego Convention Center.
Registration
Registration will be open in front of ballroom 20AB from 2 to 5 p.m. today, from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 4 and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 5. Those who have not yet registered may do so onsite.
Seminars
Glass Expo West includes a long line-up of seminars on both days of the show. The educational program runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Tomorrow, the show opens with a welcome from USGlass magazine publisher Debra Levy. She will be followed by Nick St. Denis, director of research for Key Media & Research, parent company of USGlass magazine. In his “West Economic Update,” St. Denis will provide a forecast of what the Western region can expect in commercial and residential building, glass and metal usage, and what to anticipate as a result of market shifts.
From 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., Pulp Studio CEO Bernard Lax will discuss how to identify the most common types of graphical glass products in his session, “Decorative Glass: Benefiting From Graphic Imaging (1 AIA LU).”
He will be followed by Mark Jacobson, Kuraray America’s market manager for North America, who will present “Understanding Glass Railing Codes, Specs and Materials.”
Schüco USA president Attila Arian and Keytech North America president Lyle Hill will highlight compelling and disruptive trends that will change how the contract glazing industry obtains, bids and executes work. Their session, “C-Suite Changes Coming in the Contract Glazing Industry,” will be held from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. It will be followed by The Brown Bag Lunch session, “How to Make Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Work for You,” at 11:30 a.m. In this session, Kreative Webworks director of web services Chuck Bankoff and Glass.com® operations manager Daniel Snow will explain how glass and glazing companies can differentiate themselves from the crowd using SEO.

Keynote
From12:30 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, attendees can gain valuable insights into body language from expert Janine Driver during her keynote speech “You Say More Than You Think When it Comes to Sales.” Driver is a popular media guest, with appearances on shows including The Dr. Oz Show, Anderson Cooper, NBC’s TODAY and Weekend TODAY, FOX News and CNN’s Larry King Live.
Trade Show Floor
Attendees can visit dozens of exhibitors on the trade show floor, and learn about the latest products and services. To view the full list of exhibitors, click here. The show floor will be open from 2 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday. A welcoming holiday party will be held on the floor from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday. Attendees can expect to enjoy food and drinks, meet Santa, win prizes and celebrate the holidays.
