Ensinger Building Products North America, a subsidiary of Ensinger GmbH Group in Germany, has appointed James Wright as its new vice president and general manager. Wright succeeds former vice president and general manager Bruce Tichenor, who has retired after an eight-year tenure overseeing growth and expansion of Ensigner Building Product’s proprietary insulbar thermal barrier insulating technology for window, door and façade construction in North America.
Wright has more than 12 years’ experience in sales, operations management, process improvement and business finance in the chemical industry and will be responsible for sales and manufacturing of insulbar at Ensinger’s production facility in Grenloch, N.J.
“The window markets in the Americas are growing steadily with metal frames particularly in demand because they are highly durable and low maintenance. However, metal is very conductive thermally and this is where insulbar excels through an insulating profile that combines low thermal conductivity with outstanding stability and excellent workability,” says Wright. “With energy codes for windows and doors becoming more stringent in the Americas, insulbar allows architects, contractors and window/door manufacturers to achieve improved thermal performance without compromise.”
Wright is from Wilmington, Del., where he lives with his fiancé. He holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania. In his spare time he loves to travel and enjoys cooking and running.
