Pujol Group Acquires Evasa Production Unit

Spanish company Pujol Group, the owner of glass lamination oven manufacturer Hornos Industriales Pujol S.A., has acquired 100% of the Evasa production unit, located in A Coruña, Galicia, Spain. Through this acquisition, the production of EVA layers continues in Spanish territory as a main European hub, according to the company.

The production of Evalam now belongs entirely to Pujol Group. Two new production lines will be incorporated, among them, a 2.6-meter-wide line that, in 2020, will transform the La Coruña company into the EVA unique factory with capacity to produce larger glass lites.

With this acquisition, Pujol Group will increase the surface of its production facilities by 50%. This includes 9,000 square meters for production and another 8,000 for land destined for future extensions that the group may need.

Pujol Group CEO Jorge Pujol says, “This new investment and acquisition of the new production line within Grupo Pujo, confirms the opening of a new horizon of growth opportunities, which will consolidate us even more if possible, as a leader and as the only 360-degree manufacturer in the market. In addition, it positions the Spanish consumables industry for lamination of glass in the international market as a reference of quality and excellence.”

“Given the growing demand, year after year of our interlayers, the incorporation of this new production unit was needed in order to maintain product quality and service ratio excellence,” adds Joaquin Pujol, sales director.
