The “Effects of Hurricane on Insulating Glass Unit Performance” will be presented by Bill Lingnell at Glass TEXpo™ ’20 in the city of San Antonio. The educational seminar will be held Friday, May 1, 2020 from 10-11 a.m. at the Henry B. González Convention Center.
Lingnell reviews impact factors, including the effects of window pressure, water and moisture in the glazing system, windblown debris and structural damage, barometric pressure and/or temperature changes. Attendees will leave with key factors to keep in mind when designing IG units and installing in hurricane-prone areas.
Faculty: Bill Lingnell is an industry consultant with Lingnell Consulting Services in Rockwall, Texas, and has nearly 55 years of experience in glass and architectural products. He has been involved in engineering, technical management and construction of major building projects throughout the United States, Canada and other countries. Lingnell has consulted as a specialist for general contractors, manufacturers, fabricators, owners, developers, architects and individuals relating to the many facets of glass and wall systems used on architectural construction projects.
