Expansion of New Wing at Horn Glass Industries’ Headquarters Progresses

Workers are in the process of completing an expansion at Horn Glass Industries’ headquarters in Ploessberg, Germany. Sixty employees will use the new wing, which includes smaller office units meant for two to three people rather than an open floor plan. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-2020.

All components in the building will have digital accessibility. Lighting, heating, blinds, locking and alarm systems will be controlled digitally.

The new wings’ system is not cooled by air conditioning, but by component activation. Pre-installed pipes with cold water cool the rooms without draught or noise, according to the company. The integrated ventilation system ensures a comfortable room climate thanks to constant but unobtrusive air circulation.
