Building On Up

USGlass Magazine’s 2018 Ranking of the Top Glazing Contractors

The contract glazing industry has a lot to be excited about in 2018. A strong economy, expected growth in business, along with new technologies and innovations, were all listed as positives by this year’s rankings of the nation’s top contract glaziers. On the other hand, there’s one matter in particular that’s a concern for just about all of this year’s glaziers: employment.

“Field labor is the biggest challenge we face in our industry,” said Jon Clark, director of sales at SPS Corp. of Apex, N.C . “Not having available installers prevents us from looking at additional work that would allow us to continue to grow.”

Throughout this section, keep an eye out for other issues that the industry is optimistic about—and the ones they are worried about.

As you read through this year’s list, you’ll see there are a number of new additions, several of whom are in top spots. Elicc Americas Corp. is ranked in the No. 6 spot with $122 million in sales; Integro Building Systems joins at No. 10 with $72 million in sales and Ventana DBS LLC is ranked No. 11 with $70 million in sales. Companies included for the first time are also noted throughout the list.

The information included in this section was provided to USGlass by the companies. Annual sales listed include volume for both commercial and residential work only. The backlog change refers to the increases or decreases in reserved projects. Change in backlog is included only when provided by the company. Companies are ranked based on their 2017 annual sales. Those companies marked with an * are estimated based on data from Key Media & Research.
