Cardinal Partners with FeneTech to Improve Quality Control
Cardinal Shower Enclosures of Louisville, Ky., has recently implemented the FeneVision LineScanner at its tempering facility. The goal of the new system is to improve its manufacturing processes by tracking errors and imperfections comprehensively.
According to Loren Powell, Cardinal’s data administrator handling the implementation, the new machinery will enable Cardinal to quantify imperfections, errors and trends and provide historical data that is key to detecting and correcting potential problems internally. Because of the LineScanner’s speed, its addition to the production process does not affect overall production or lead times, according to the company.
FeneTech Inc., based in Aurora, Ohio, is helping to guide Cardinal through the software addition.
“We are looking forward to strengthening our relationship with Cardinal and working alongside them to produce the highest-quality product,” says Nate Huffman, FeneTech quality systems business development manager.
SDC Adds New Door Hardware and Alarm/Security Representatives
SDC has added two new manufacturer’s representatives to meet increased demand for its mechanical hardware and electronic access control security products.
Southwest Architectural Sales of Dallas will provide service and support door hardware customers throughout Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas (excluding El Paso).
“[Adding SDC] gives us a nice, round package for total access control solutions. Because we also write specs, SDC allows us to put together an entire Division 8 suite. We’re really happy about the possibilities that their access control products provide to us,” says Sam Haggard, managing partner.
Monfort Electronics Marketing of Indianapolis is offering SDC product solutions to alarm/security clients in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Northern Ohio, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
