Huntsman has increased the manufacturing capacity of its Ringwood, Ill., site where it produces its non-optical aliphatic thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) pellets and its range of optical aliphatic TPU films.
The company opened a new building at the facility, which includes automated manufacturing equipment to increase its production capacity and support the safety glazing and surface protection industries, according to the company.
Huntsman also is celebrating 45 years since the launch of its Krystalgran and Krystalflex TPU products, which are used in surface protection and safety glazing applications.
“Our established track record in markets such as renewable energy, consumer displays, and paint protection films, combined with our new manufacturing capabilities, will enable us to keep innovating in parallel with our customers,” says Tom Baird, Ringwood plant manager.
