The Glass Guru has added its newest franchise location in Ohio. The Glass Guru of South Cincinnati is the company’s sixth franchise location in the state. Franchise owner Chris Samples and his sister, Mary Samples, attended the initial franchise training at the company’s headquarters in Roseville, Calif., which they completed August 7, 2020.
Chris has a bachelor’s degree in business management and spent time as a freight broker and account executive in the logistics sector. Business ownership was always of interest to him, and he was introduced to The Glass Guru by the owners of a neighboring Ohio franchise location, according to the company. Mary has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) and worked as both a medical and surgical nurse.
“I have always wanted to own a business of my own. My education and background is in business. I heard about The Glass Guru from the Mason, Ohio, location. I liked everything they had to say so I contacted [president and founder] Dan [Frey] about opening my own franchise location. What ultimately led me to moving forward was meeting everyone at corporate during my discovery visit. I could feel and tell corporate had the right people in the right roles,” says Chris Samples. “In two years I see my business steadily growing. I would like to be building another team and working my way out of estimating and into more of a business management role.”
