YKK AP America Inc. has appointed Ramsey Fadel as executive vice president and general manager of subsidiary Erie Architectural Products Group (Erie AP).
Fadel will oversee day-to-day operations for Erie AP. He succeeds founder and president of Erie AP, Ron Stronks, who will retire from day-to-day operations to serve as a management consultant and continuing member of Erie AP’s board of directors, where he will provide invaluable strategic insight, according to the company.
Fadel has more than 25 years of strategic leadership experience within the manufacturing industry, ranging from quality assurance and operations to plant management. As vice president of manufacturing operations for Erie AP, Fadel improved manufacturing processes and workflows to further enhance the company’s project business and drive success for customers. Prior to joining Erie AP, Fadel led and managed all plant operations, maintenance, staff functions and resources for Hydro Extrusion Canada. Fadel also served as general manager of Can Art Aluminum Extrusion Inc. for 13 years, where he led all sales and manufacturing processes.
“Fadel’s extensive background and commitment to excellence in manufacturing operations, engineering and management leadership skills made him the right person to lead Erie AP. Fadel is a competent and collaborative leader who has excelled at strategic leadership and execution. In addition to his in-depth
experience, his customer and employee-centric philosophies make him well-positioned to lead Erie AP into this next phase of growth,” says Oliver Stepe, president of YKK AP America Inc.
“I’m honored to move into this new role where I will have the privilege of leading an incredibly talented and dedicated team of professionals,” says Fadel. “Erie’s success has been built upon its strong customer and employee-first culture, its commitment to quality and its pursuit of innovation. I am excited to build on the company’s many successes by carrying these values forward into this new chapter.”
In addition to Fadel’s appointment, Tim Thomas, vice president of technical services, has been promoted to Erie AP’s executive management team where he will assume the position of senior vice president of sales operations and oversee business development, engineering, project management and overall front-end business operations. Martin Gray, account manager, has been promoted to national sales manager, where he will work closely with customers to ensure success through oversight of project solutions and business development activities.
