The Washington Glass Association (WGA) has announced that longtime member Gary Towndrow of RG Architectural has passed away. He died Monday, November 23, 2020 in the early morning.

“Our love goes out to Gary’s wife, Pat; son, Greg of RG Architectural; and the rest of the Towndrow family,” says Maryanne Howell, WGA executive director.

Towndrow held various officer positions on the WGA board, including president, and he also chaired the WGA Golf Tournament for many years. In the past Towndrow co-chaired the WGA Architectural Softball Team with his close friend Bob Brockway of Eastside Glass.

On June 27, 2013, Towndrow received the Special Recognition Award for his many years of service with the WGA. Then-president Bill Coady of Guardian Industries presented the award and Jerry Larson of Larson Glass gave a thoughtful speech to those in attendance honoring Towndrow.

“Gary knew how to be a good friend and a solid member of the glass industry. He enjoyed sharing many stories and was a great listener. We will all miss him,” says Howell.
