Quanex Building Products has named Cristina Murray its new North American director of marketing. Murray brings significant experience driving brand awareness and achieving market excellence in the B2B marketplace.
“We are thrilled to have Cristina on board at Quanex as our new director of marketing,” said Bob Daniels, president of Quanex’s North American Fenestration (NAF). “Her deep experience with marketing will benefit NAF, North American Cabinet Components (NACC) and Quanex as a whole.”
Murray has 20-plus years of marketing and branding experience, with her most recent tenure at PPG Industries. During that time, she worked in a variety of capacities, including sales, business development, product development and customer service, but most enjoyed her time leading the marketing communication efforts.
“Not only is she a leader and team player, but she also brings fresh and innovative ideas to the table that we’re excited to implement across the organization,” added John Sleva, president of NACC, Quanex Building Products.
She works from the Akron, Ohio, offices and will begin traveling in the near future to meet with customers, visit site locations and attend industry events.
“Quanex is a unique company, with passionate and driven people,” Murray said. “I’m looking forward to learning, meeting even more industry professionals and helping shape the future of the company.”
Murray has received a number of awards and recognition for her efforts, including a 2018 Crain’s Cleveland Business Award for Marketing; the Most Influential Women by the Women’s Industry Network in 2017; the SEMA Businesswomen’s Network Athena Champion Award in 2014; and the Goodguys Woman of the Year Award in 2011.
