Top Glass 2021 Set for April 21

Top Glass 2021, Canada’s trade event for the architectural glass industry, is set to take place virtually April 21 with a mix of content for architects, glazing contractors, glass fabricators and anyone else involved in facade design and construction.

The event will include access to at least 16 virtual exhibits from Canada’s architectural glazing suppliers and industry organizations, with opportunities to discuss and view on-demand supplier content. Participants can earn up to four continuing education credits.

Among the sessions, Gary Watson of Diamond Schmitt Architects is scheduled to present his reflections and projections for the future of buildings and the urban environment in a post-COVID world. Mark Jacobson of Kuraray will discuss lamination technology and how new advances will meet tomorrow’s challenges for energy efficiency, security, sound control, daylighting and aesthetics. At the same time, Will Nash of WSP will explain embodied carbon and how this emerging environmental measure will increase in importance as regulators increase efforts to combat climate change.

Additionally, Rik Vandelinde of Winsafe will discuss the latest requirements and innovations in swing stage design.
